Terms of Use
Last updated 10 September 2026
The short version
Synckro is free. Be decent to the people in your room. Don't post anything illegal. We can remove content and close accounts when somebody reports a problem, and you can walk away and delete yours whenever you like.
By using Synckro you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, do not use it.
1. Who can use Synckro
You must be at least 13, or 16 where local law sets that as the minimum. You need to give a real email address you control, and you are responsible for what happens under your account — including keeping your password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has got into it.
2. What Synckro is
Synckro plays YouTube videos through YouTube's own player, in step across everyone in a room, and adds chat and push-to-talk voice around it. We do not host, store or supply any video ourselves.
It is free, it carries no advertising, and it is provided as it is. We may change it, or stop running it, at any time.
3. YouTube content
Video comes from YouTube and your use of it is also governed by YouTube's Terms of Service. You must not use Synckro to get around a video's restrictions, to download or copy video, or to show content you have no right to show.
4. What you post
Your messages, room names, avatar and queue additions stay yours. By posting them you give us permission to store them and show them to the other people in your room — which is simply what it takes to run a chat. You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.
5. Rules
Do not use Synckro to:
- Post anything illegal, or anything that sexualises a minor. There is no second chance on this, and it will be reported to the authorities.
- Harass, threaten, bully or incite violence against anybody.
- Post hateful content aimed at people for who they are.
- Share sexual content, or anything you would not show a stranger in public.
- Impersonate somebody else, or claim to be part of Synckro.
- Publish other people's private information.
- Spam, advertise, or run scams.
- Attack, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or scrape it automatically.
- Record another person's voice without their knowledge, where the law where either of you lives requires their consent.
6. Reporting, and what we do about it
Every room gives you the ability to report a person or a message, to block somebody so you no longer see them, and — if you are the host — to mute or remove them.
Messages are not screened automatically before they appear. Content is reviewed when it is reported. Once a report reaches us we may remove content, close a room, or suspend or delete an account. We do not promise to act on every report, or to act within any particular time.
7. Hosts
The host of a room controls playback and can remove people from it. Hosting does not make you legally answerable for what other people say, but you remain answerable for your own conduct, and a room you run is expected to follow these rules.
8. Availability
Synckro is free and is offered without any guarantee of uptime. Rooms may drop, sync may slip, voice may fail on some networks, and data may be lost. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. No warranty, and the limits of our liability
Synckro is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for anything said or done by another user. Nothing here removes a liability that cannot legally be removed.
10. Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from Account settings in the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these rules, or if we stop running the service.
11. Changes to these terms
If these change, the date at the top changes too, and anything significant will be announced in the app. Carrying on using Synckro after a change means you accept it.
12. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of Synckro, are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any such dispute.
If you are a consumer somewhere whose law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own country, or protections that cannot be signed away, nothing here takes that from you.
13. Contact
Anything to raise, use the contact page.
